Unifour Hydraulics’ owner Matt Little was born into the business. His grandfather, Denny Little, founded Unifour Truck and Trailer in Hickory, NC, in 1979 and his father Mark Little started working at the shop in 1985.
Matt was born and raised in Hickory, NC, and graduated from UNCC’s Belk College of Business with a BS in Business Administration. Once he began managing Unifour Truck and Trailer in 2015, Matt soon realized that the shop’s deep experience in truck, trailer and equipment repair gave him a unique understanding of what customers were looking for in hydraulics products and equipment. Armed with this knowledge, he founded Unifour Hydraulics, which began fabricating and repairing hydraulic hoses in September 2020.
A few months later, Matt met John Whitley, who had built his own hydraulics expertise over 14 years fabricating parts in the agricultural and tractor services industries. Matt recognized John’s talent and soon brought him onboard to take Unifour Hydraulics’ professional performance to the next level as its general manager.
Today, Matt lives in Newton, NC, and continues to pursue his passion for helping people in his industry, doing things right and treating his customers like hometown friends. He’s married to Jacqueline Little and they have two girls, Laney and Emory, and a giant schnauzer named Luna.
Born and raised in Wilson, NC, John earned his BFA from East Carolina University. Once out of college, he fabricated and sold agriculture parts for 10 years, then moved to Hickory to marry his wife Natalie in 2017. He also began working at Hollar Tractor Parts, where he honed his knowledge of hydraulics and hose fabrication. After meeting Matt Little in March of 2021, John brought his talents to Unifour Hydraulics, where he focuses on customer service and quality to make himself and the company the very best at what they do.
